Welcome Message from Dean Fleischer

It’s always a thrill to witness our senior projects progress throughout the academic year. And, of course, as those projects near completion, it’s especially exciting to observe the increased activity on campus, as busy students work to transform carefully crafted designs into tangible, working final products.

It’s one of my favorite experiences here on campus!

Every year, we showcase that innovative work during our Project Expo – the culmination of months of hard work on public display. However, this year, things will be a bit different [Spring 2021]: While students were able to perform work on campus for their senior projects, due to the pandemic, still need to limit crowds as a health precaution. So this year’s expo will be held virtually.

While that will change the fun face-to-face interactions we are used to having with our proud seniors, I’m eager to see how our students have adapted to an added challenge, showcasing their projects with video and graphics through an online platform.

Of course, I know they’ll do great. Because we teach students to face new, unexpected situations.

So I invite you to join me in reviewing what our innovative students have been up to the past several months. And, hopefully, next time, we’ll see you in the Engineering Plaza again.
